✨ Transformation Tuesday – From Worn & Weathered to Timeless Elegance! ✨

What an incredible transformation for these vintage cane-back chairs!

Gone are the worn white painted frames and faded blue upholstery! These beauties have been completely transformed with rich, dark wood finishes, stunning turquoise striped upholstery, and beautifully restored natural cane.

One of our favourite details is the beautiful natural cane, left unstained so it can gradually develop a warm, honey-coloured patina, adding even more character and charm as it ages.

From tired and dated to elegant and full of character — this is why we love what we do!

✨ What do you think of this before and after?

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY — A LITTLE OLD-WORLD CHARM! ✨

Oh, what a beauty this one turned out to be!

This gorgeous buffet with its decorative mirror came to us showing years of wear and tear, but underneath it all was a piece just waiting to shine again!

Our talented wood technicians worked their Persnickety magic, carefully repairing and refinishing this beauty to bring out its rich wood grain, elegant details and timeless character.

The result? A stunning transformation that proves some things really do get better with age… and a little Persnickety attention!

Have a treasured piece that deserves a second chance? Send us some photos — we'd love to see what we can do!

🍂🦃 HAPPY THANKSGIVING❤️

There's something special about gathering around the table with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, delicious food and making memories that last a lifetime.

At Persnickety Furniture, we know that furniture is so much more than just wood and fabric — it's where families gather, traditions are shared and memories are made.

This Thanksgiving, we're especially grateful for our wonderful customers, our hardworking team and the community that continues to support us and what we love to do.

We'll be closed Monday, October 12th, to enjoy a little time around our own family tables, and we'll be back to regular business hours Tuesday, October 13th.

From our family to yours, may your home be filled with warmth, your table surrounded by loved ones and your hearts full of gratitude.

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY… ON A WEDNESDAY! ✨

We're a day late, but this transformation was too good not to share!

This beautiful old table came to us needing a little more than a refinish. Its casters were removed and replaced with felt bottoms, and there was one rather important piece missing… the fifth leg!

Our team sourced a replacement leg, finished it to match, and gave the entire table the Persnickety treatment.

Now, with all the leaves back in, it's standing strong, beautifully restored and ready to take its place at the centre of family gatherings for many more years to come!

Because some pieces are just too special to give up on!

🍂 FALL & WINTER DIY PROJECTS? WE CAN HELP WITH THAT! 🪑🔨

Cooler weather means DIY season is moving indoors! If you’ve got a furniture project you’ve been meaning to tackle, Persnickety can help with the parts that aren’t quite as fun.

Want to do the finishing yourself? We can strip your piece and give it a light sand to get it ready for stain. Need fabric for a small upholstery project, quilt, craft or other creative idea? Ask us about remnant pieces we may have available!

Sometimes you want the satisfaction of saying “I did it myself!” without actually having to do every single part yourself.

And if that DIY project starts turning into a little more “WHY did I do this myself?!” — don’t worry. Bring it to Persnickety and we can take it from there!

Whether you need a little help getting started or want us to finish the whole thing, we’re here to help.

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY ✨

What a transformation! 😍

This classic Secretary Desk came to us with a worn faux Tiger Oak finish and broken glass. Our team stripped away the old finish, completed the repairs, replaced the glass and gave it a beautiful warm cappuccino colour.

The result is a fresh, updated look that still keeps all the character and charm of this beautiful piece. ❤️

Have a piece that deserves a second chance? Send us some photos and see what the Persnickety team can do!

🌧️ FEATURE FRIDAY — RAIN OR SHINE! ☔

It may be raining outside and feeling a tad gloomy, but inside Persnickety Furniture, things are anything but quiet!

Our intake/outtake area is filling up with customer pieces coming and going, our showroom has some beautiful new finds perfectly showcased, and out in the shop, our upholsterer and wood technicians are hard at work breathing new life into furniture one piece at a time. 🪑✨

There’s something pretty great about a busy shop on a rainy Friday — the sound of tools, projects taking shape, finished pieces heading home and new ones arriving for their turn.

So yes, it may be grey and gloomy outside… but it’s Friday, the shop is buzzing, and the show must go on! ❤️

Have a piece that could use a little Persnickety attention? Send us some photos or stop by and see what we’ve been up to!
