Sometimes it’s the smaller details that make the biggest impression.

This beautiful custom breakfast nook is a perfect example of how thoughtful millwork can transform an everyday space into something truly special.

Rich natural walnut brings warmth and character to the bench seating, while the angled beadboard back adds depth, texture, and a beautiful architectural detail. Below, cabinetry finished in Benjamin Moore Wrought Iron incorporates pull-out drawers, adding practical storage without compromising the clean, furniture-like design.

The contrast between the warm walnut and deep painted finish creates a space that feels both timeless and inviting.

Not every project needs to be a grand kitchen or an elaborate built-in to make an impact. Sometimes it’s the smaller, carefully considered pieces that bring the most character to a home.

Beautiful design is about making every space count.

Sometimes the best details are the ones you don’t even notice.

This beautiful dining room features custom wall panelling designed to bring warmth, depth, and architectural character to the space.

But hidden behind a few of these panels is something you might not expect additional storage!

Our client wanted to maximize functionality without compromising the clean, seamless look of the wall panelling. By carefully integrating concealed cabinetry into the design, we were able to transform an otherwise unused area into valuable storage while maintaining the continuity of the surrounding panels.

It’s a subtle detail, but one that makes a meaningful difference in how the space functions.

Because great custom cabinetry isn’t always about what you see. Sometimes it’s about what you don’t.

Natural materials, warm tones, and timeless modern design.

This stunning contemporary kitchen features beautiful rift-cut white oak cabinetry, complemented by soft Benjamin Moore Natural Cream accents that bring warmth and balance to the space.

The natural Taj Mahal quartzite countertops add a beautiful layer of movement and elegance, perfectly complementing the subtle grain and texture of the white oak.

A thoughtfully integrated coffee bar adds both functionality and refinement, creating a dedicated space for everyday rituals while maintaining the kitchen’s clean, seamless aesthetic.

A beautiful example of how natural materials, thoughtful design, and detailed craftsmanship can come together to create a space that feels both modern and inviting.

The perfect coffee cabinet is about more than just hiding your coffee maker! ☕

Coffee stations have become a staple in custom kitchens, and integrating them behind beautiful bifold pocket doors is one of our favourite ways to keep a kitchen looking clean and seamless.

But there are two important details that should never be overlooked.

First, integrated lighting that automatically turns on when the doors open and off when they close.

Second, and even more importantly, an automatic shutoff system for the electrical outlets. This helps ensure appliances like coffee makers and toasters cannot operate behind closed cabinet doors a critical safety consideration that must be coordinated with applicable electrical code requirements.

These may seem like small details, but they require thoughtful planning, proper engineering, and careful ex*****on.

Because great custom cabinetry isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how beautifully and safely it functions in your everyday life.

A home office where every detail has a purpose.

Rich Chocolate stained flat-cut white oak gives this custom office a warm, sophisticated feel, paired with our favourite English Country door profile for a timeless layer of detail.

But much of what makes this space special is what you don’t see. Multiple file drawers, ample storage, integrated lighting over the desk, a custom wire management system, and a dedicated ventilated cabinet for the desktop computer all work quietly behind the scenes.

The result is a workspace that feels clean and beautifully considered, without sacrificing any of the functionality needed for everyday life.

Great custom cabinetry isn’t just about what you see, it’s about seamlessly integrating everything you don’t want to see.

When will my cabinetry be ready?

One of the most common questions we get and for good reason!

At Gravelle Woodworking, our typical lead time is 8–10 weeks from final production sign-off.

But before we even begin building, there’s a tremendous amount happening behind the scenes. From detailed engineering and shop drawings to material procurement and specialty hardware, every detail needs to be carefully planned.

Some projects take a little longer, while others can be completed sooner. It all depends on the complexity of the project.

Because no two projects are the same, and every detail deserves the time and attention to get it right.

A walk-in closet should be designed around the person who uses it, not just the space available.

This stunning principal walk-in closet, executed in collaboration with Thomas Cochren Homes was designed to feel as beautiful as it is functional.

Finished in Benjamin Moore Baby Fawn with our classic Greystone door profile, the cabinetry creates a warm, refined backdrop throughout the room. An extensive integrated lighting package adds another layer to the design, with ambient lighting throughout the display areas, illuminated closet rods, and lighting integrated into the drawer storage.

Custom jewellery drawer inserts, dedicated display areas, and ample storage were all carefully planned around our client’s wardrobe and how they use the space every day.

Closet design is incredibly personal. Everyone has different clothing, collections, routines, and storage requirements. The challenge is finding that delicate balance between displaying the pieces you love, concealing everything else, and making the entire room effortless to use.

A dream closet isn’t about having more storage, it’s about having the right storage, designed specifically for you.

One of our favourite places to integrate lighting into cabinetry? Right underneath the hood.

Most hood inserts already have task lighting for the cooktop, but there’s often one problem, the colour temperature doesn’t match the integrated lighting throughout the rest of the kitchen. The result can be beautiful warm lighting under your cabinetry that suddenly changes as soon as you reach the range.

That’s why we integrate a separate LED light in front of the hood insert. It provides another layer of task lighting while, more importantly, allowing the ambient lighting to continue seamlessly across the entire kitchen.

When the colour temperature, placement, and intensity of your lighting are properly coordinated, the whole space feels warmer and more intentional.

Lighting may seem like a small detail, but it needs to be considered from the very beginning. Design it. Engineer it. Integrate it. Because once the cabinetry is installed, it’s often too late to execute it properly.

A kitchen designed to make an impression.

Finished in Benjamin Moore Baby Fawn, this space is warm, refined, and filled with natural light from its soaring 20-foot ceilings.

Natural white oak accents bring warmth and texture throughout, beautifully contrasted by a rich white oak island that anchors the room. Flanking the range, flat metal glass doors, creating a clean architectural statement while allowing the surrounding materials to take centre stage.

One of our favourite details is the stunning quartzite hood mantel, where the stone has been precision-milled into a reeded profile and accented with polished chrome detailing. It’s a subtle yet striking feature that adds texture, depth, and craftsmanship to the heart of the kitchen.

A beautiful balance of natural materials, thoughtful design, and meticulous ex*****on—creating a space that feels both timeless and distinctly modern.

Every exceptional project is built on more than beautiful design.

At Gravelle Woodworking, we believe every successful project stands on three pillars of creation:

1. Design – Creating a vision that is beautiful, functional, and tailored to how our clients live.
2. Ex*****on – Bringing that vision to life with uncompromising craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail.
3. Process – Managing budgets, timelines, communication, and customer experience from the first meeting through long after installation.

The projects we’re most proud of aren’t defined solely by the finished cabinetry—they’re defined by the experience our clients have throughout the journey.

Because truly remarkable spaces aren’t created by design alone.

They’re built on Design. Ex*****on. Process.
