STOP before you buy that pretty sofa! 🛑
We love a good-looking couch, but here’s what NOT to do when sofa shopping:
1. Don't shop with your eyes only
That colour is gorgeous, but check the bones — solid frame, sinuous springs, and high-density foam are what keep it from sagging in a year.
2. Don't ignore fabric quality
Kids, pets, real life? Ask about performance fabric, rub-count, and cleaning codes. Beauty means nothing if it doesn't live well.
3. Don't skip the tape measure
Measure your space, doorway, elevator AND the sofa. The #1 return reason? "It doesn't fit."
4. Don't buy without the sit-test
Sit how you actually live — lounge, curl up, lie down. 5 minutes in-store saves 5 years of regret.
5. Don't forget the warranty
A great sofa should come with a great warranty. If they won't back it, you shouldn't buy it.
