Only a few more weeks to go and we will be harvesting cherry tomatoes again and roasting some of them in our outdoor pizza forno like we did with these cherrys from last year's harvest. Let the good times roll!

This year is the second year of trials on a fascinating cherry tomato called Blue Gold Berries. It is not hard to tell when the berry is ripe. I've placed a single ripe tomato next to a trellis of unripe ones to show the vivid difference between them.

Despite the cold weather we a find ourselves in the middle of a Zebra Tomato migration.

Sometimes it is nice not to sell out of all of your tomatoes at market. It gives you the opportunity to make a great and simple salad bursting with summer flavour.

It's 1 degree below freezing here today and we still have hundreds of pounds of tomatoes on the vine. Here is to hoping that covering them up for the next two days until the normal fall weather returns is sufficient.

Even though overnight it was only 3 degrees above freezing our peppers are turning from emerald green into little orange suns! Now let's see how they taste.
