Only a few more weeks to go and we will be harvesting cherry tomatoes again and roasting some of them in our outdoor pizza forno like we did with these cherrys from last year's harvest. Let the good times roll!

This year is the second year of trials on a fascinating cherry tomato called Blue Gold Berries. It is not hard to tell when the berry is ripe. I've placed a single ripe tomato next to a trellis of unripe ones to show the vivid difference between them.

It's 1 degree below freezing here today and we still have hundreds of pounds of tomatoes on the vine. Here is to hoping that covering them up for the next two days until the normal fall weather returns is sufficient.
