Welcome Artist Julia Festa
We’re delighted to welcome Julia Festa and her beautiful collection of mini oil paintings to Going Coastal Fine Art & Furnishings.
A lifelong Nova Scotian based in Shad Bay, Julia has been painting for more than 25 years. Primarily self-taught, she has also studied with several respected local artists, developing a distinctive style that captures the warmth and beauty of Nova Scotia’s landscapes, coastlines, gardens, and everyday moments. Working in both oil and watercolour, Julia is equally at home creating charming miniatures, sweeping landscapes, and custom pet portraits.
Her latest collection of original mini oil paintings brings a joyful splash of colour and coastal charm to the gallery. Perfect for gifting or adding a special touch to your home, these small works celebrate the beauty that surrounds us every day.

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Donna finds endless inspiration in the natural beauty of the sea and our rugged Maritime coastlines.
A self-taught artist, Donna began painting approximately 14 years ago while working as a Nurse Manager. What started as a hobby and a way to relax has grown into an indispensable outlet for creativity and self-expression.
We’re delighted to have Donna McDonald and her beautiful coastal work back at Going Coastal for another season.
