Cabinet & Design Studio is a locally owned and growing cabinetry and design company serving homeowners throughout Western Newfoundland.

We’re not looking for just another set of hands.

We’re looking for a dependable, skilled Cabinet Installer who cares about craftsmanship, communicates well, solves problems, and understands that installation is one of the final — and most important — parts of the customer’s experience.

🏗️ WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As our Cabinet Installer, you’ll be responsible for taking a great design and turning it into a great finished product.

🔨 Install kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, panels, trim, fillers, mouldings and related cabinetry

📐 Read and interpret cabinet layouts, drawings, measurements and work orders

🧰 Measure, level, plumb, scribe, fit and securely fasten cabinetry

🔧 Complete final adjustments to doors, drawers, hardware and accessories

🪚 Identify installation challenges early and make appropriate on-site adjustments

🔍 Inspect cabinets and materials and quickly communicate any damage, shortages or discrepancies

🏠 Protect floors, walls and finished surfaces while working in customers’ homes

🧹 Keep your work area clean, organized and professional

🛠️ Safely use and maintain hand and power tools

🔧 Complete service, warranty and deficiency work when required

👷 Communicate professionally with customers, designers, contractors and your teammates

⚠️ Follow Cabinet & Design Studio’s installation standards, safety procedures and Code of Conduct

👷 WHO YOU ARE

This role could be a great fit if:

⏱️ You’re dependable, punctual, and arrive prepared to get started

🪚 You have cabinet installation, finish carpentry or related construction experience

🧰 You know your way around hand and power tools

📐 You can accurately read plans, drawings and measurements

🔍 You have strong attention to detail

🔧 You find effective solutions while maintaining high standards

🛠️ You take ownership when something doesn’t go according to plan

🏠 You respect customers, their homes and their property

👷 You can work independently without needing someone looking over your shoulder

🗣️ You communicate clearly and professionally

🏆 You take genuine pride in the quality of your finished work

🚚 You’ll also need a valid driver’s licence, a safe driving record, and the physical ability to safely lift, carry and handle cabinetry, tools and materials.

Experience with kitchen and vanity installation, custom cabinetry, finish carpentry or renovations is a strong asset.

Trade training, apprenticeship, Red Seal certification, First Aid or WHMIS training are also considered assets.
