Redoing the shoddy renos by a contractor from 2023 with good renos by me.

Still gotta do a bit of trim/finishing work, have the fireplace tiled and put a mantle up, and do the shelves and drawers for the built-in dresser/bookcase, but almost there!

In progress guitar bodies.

Chambering for weight relief, then gluing up the tops.

Have you got old strike plates, escutcheons, or other old brass hardware that's been painted over?

Boil it in 2 cups of water and 1/4 cup of vinegar for 30 mins, drop a teaspoon of baking soda in at the halfway mark, and the paint lifts right off.

Removing two 110-year-old stained glass windows, cleaning them, and them, and then caulking and screwing them in so they're secure.

These windows used to open, but they open at knee-height on a staircase. Not safe!

I've had one complete guitar kicking around for awhile - it's a beauty and I've just never gotten around to posting it for sale. It's been hanging on my wall in my office but it needs to find a real home.

I had intended to list it on Reverb for $1,500 but if anyone's interested, message me for a *steep* discount.

Walnut, bloodwood, and cherry body and neck with stainless steel medium jumbo frets, 25" scale length, 12" radius, Gotoh 21:1 tuners, tusq nut, hipshot bridge, premium electronics, and premium Lollar bridge pickup. High-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Folks, I need your feedback!

I just finished this telecaster style guitar. I love the wood, and it plays and sounds great. But there are some issues with the finish - a minor crack by the bridge, and some chipping around the string ferrules on the back, and a couple of other small details.

Refinishing a guitar like this is a lot of work and will take about a month.

Do I refinish it and post it for sale for $1,600CAD, or sell it as b stock for $1,000?
