Human Leadership means doing what’s right. Even when conditions are difficult.
At VETS, that often means responding to HVAC emergencies during extreme temperatures, when tenants, operators, and property managers are relying on calm decisions and clear communication.
Our Facility Services team works in high-pressure situations where comfort, operations, and safety are all on the line.
Leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about accountability when it matters most.
Because our customers deserve a partner they can rely on, not just a provider.

Built on honour. Driven by craftsmanship.
At VETS Group, HONOUR isn’t just a word. It’s how we operate.
HONOUR defines our 6 core values:
Human Leadership
Ownership Mentality
Nurturing Environment
Open Communication
United Team
Renowned Craftsmanship
Since 1921, these principles have guided how we design, fabricate, install, and service industrial HVAC and dust collection systems across Western Canada.
They shape how we respond to a shutdown.
How we proactively maintain HVAC systems.
How we follow through after handoff.
Legacy matters. But how we live it matters more.

Safety starts with awareness.
As weather conditions change, so do job site risks. Cold, heat, wind, and changing surfaces can all impact how safely work gets done.
Taking a moment to assess conditions, adjust your approach, and look out for your team can prevent injuries before they happen.
At VETS Group, safety isn’t just a requirement. It’s how we protect our people every day.
Stay aware. Stay prepared. Stay safe.

Every great service team relies on technicians who can adapt, problem-solve, and keep critical systems running.
Meet Joel Raabis, a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic in our Facility Services division who has been doing exactly that at VETS Group for nearly eight years.
Joel got his start in the trade early. At just 16, a family friend who owned a local company gave him his first opportunity, which led to an apprenticeship and eventually a full-time career in the industry.
A project that stands out to him was a semi-hermetic compressor change-out on the air conditioning systems in the server room of a critical service facility in Edmonton. Working on complex equipment that supports critical infrastructure made it a memorable project for the team.
Outside of work, Joel loves travelling and has already visited 17 countries, with no plans to slow down anytime soon.

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been up to…
We’re still here. Still working. Still getting it done.
That means rising to meet the challenges ahead. Putting in full days of real work. Work that makes people more comfortable and that means our teams are often facing extreme weather conditions, so our customers don’t have to.
We thank you for that!
Here’s a big shoutout to the crews and front-line teams who show up and get it done — day in and day out.
Our clients can breathe easier —literally—because of you.
Starting next month, we’re going to share more about the people and crews that keep VETS Group moving every day. We’re glad to have you with us.

Our offices are closed this Remembrance Day, as we pause to reflect on the sacrifices of those who served our country.
For us at this day holds deep meaning as our company was founded by Fred Rayner who was a WWI veteran. Upon his return from overseas, Fred Rayner founded Vet’s Sheet Metal Ltd. and named it “Vet’s” to honour the soldiers he had served alongside and later welcomed into his workforce.
