Let’s talk rugs. Because size matters, materials matter, and yes, that rug you’ve been trying to make work might just be the problem.

A good rug does more than look pretty. It anchors your furniture, defines your space, and pulls the entire room together.

Too small? Your furniture looks like it’s floating. Too big? You’ve lost the balance. The right one? A game changer.

Consider this your sign to stop treating your rug like an afterthought.

Need help finding the perfect fit? That’s kind of our thing.

Welcome to THE LAYOUT LAB.

Where we take real rooms, rethink the layouts, and show you just how much potential your space really has.

Episode 01: We’re bringing the furniture off the walls, taking the drapes to new heights, and introducing a rug to pull it all together.

A little tough love, a fresh perspective, and a whole lot of design potential.

Think your room could use a second opinion? Dare to submit yours. 👀 comment LAYOUT below for more details.

Dear spooky season, we’ve seen scarier. Some of your room layouts, for starters. 👀

Introducing THE LAYOUT LAB. A new series where we put your spaces under the microscope.

The good. The bad. The why is your sofa over there?

We’re inviting you to submit your space for the chance to receive a complimentary design concept from the Lexi + Lake team.

Here’s the catch: we’re taking everyone along for the ride.

We’ll select a room, break down what works (and what absolutely doesn’t), rethink the layout, and share our design process with you right here.

No sugarcoating. Just good design, honest opinions, and a little constructive criticism.

Dare to submit?

Follow us and Comment “LAYOUT LAB” below once you have sent your email submissions + photos of your room to enter. Selected spaces will be featured in our new video series.

Let the haunting begin.

Watch this before you buy your next sofa!!

A sofa is an investment. Let’s make sure it’s a good one.

The fabric, the fill, the frame, the depth. All the little details that make the difference between a sofa that looks good and one that actually lives well.

Because falling in love with a sofa is easy. Finding one that’s beautiful, comfortable AND made to last? That’s where we come in.

Consider this your sign to come sit on a few.

Fave sound, fave pillows, fave season!!!!

It’s been a minute, so we’re coming in hot with 5 things that might be making your home look a little dated.

Take it with a grain of salt, okay? We’re not here to ruin anyone’s day.

Your white oak is STUNNING. All we’re saying is… maybe she doesn’t need to be everywhere.

Mixing wood tones adds depth, character and makes a space feel collected rather than overly coordinated. The trick? Pay attention to the undertones. As long as the woods share a similar warmth or undertone, they don’t need to match.

Consider this your permission slip to mix it up and do NOT buy a matching set.

We had the pleasure of furnishing and styling this home; bringing in layers of texture, scale and sculptural pieces to make an already beautiful home feel finished and intentional.

Because sometimes the right furniture doesn’t just fill a room. It completes it.
