Hats off to the fantastic people at Artman Contracting Ltd. It was a pleasure to work with them on this project and I am very pleased with the final results.

I was doing a panel replacement for a client and ran into this scenario. There was a breaker that had both the white wire and black wire run to it with the red wire capped off. It turns out that the previous owner had wired a standard 120v 20a plug to have 240v to it! I'm glad I took the extra time to investigate this non standard wiring and potentially saved the client from damaged equipment.

I am now offering custom panel cabinets as an option to go along with a panel replacement. I think they provide a very clean look! We replaced this old panel and sub panel as there were some issues with breakers, grounding and circuit loading. A complete replacement provided the best long term value and will provide better fault protection. As always, this installation was permitted and inspected so the client is confident that the work done was safe and meets code.

I teamed up with Chad from McIntosh Mechanical ( He does great work! ) to give this client a cool work environment. Thankfully, the heatwave is over but I'm sure there will be plenty more hot days to come. This client made a special request to make no penetrations in the roof as the building owner had it as a condition of tenancy. To achieve this, I build a hefty stand to mount the disconnect and convenience receptacle, and used an existing chase to bring up the cables. As usual, we have this permitted and approved so the client can be assured that this installation is safe and meets or exceeds code.

I replaced this panel and meter base for a client that had some aluminum wiring in their home. I spliced and tucked the aluminum wiring above the suspended ceiling to allow a clean looking panel install. In addition, I replaced the backboard, insulation and v***r barrier so this panel will be free of condensing moisture. Check out this amazing transformation! This project was very well organized by Lincoln at Exceptional carpentry ltd. and the results are top notch! I thoroughly enjoyed being included in this project and am very pleased with the final product.

Service call! A Client called me in to have a look at a few plugs that were missing grounds and had reverse polarity. We found quite a few more issues than just that! These plugs were quite toasty and I'm glad we caught them before they caused a fire. Bonus find: Aluminum jumper going between 2 plugs. I was able to replace with copper easily as the plugs were in the same stud cavity.
