It is up to the animal owner to arrange an appointment with a meat cutter of their choice BEFORE booking an appointment with me to slaughter livestock on their farm/ranch. Attention: I've been asked a few times if meat from farm slaughtered animals can be sold. The short answer is NO. Meat from Farm slaughtered animals is by law only to be consumed by the animal owner, their family and friends. Meat of animals that is to be sold to members of the public MUST be slaughtered in a provincially or federally government inspected slaughterhouse.

I was told today that I am apparently the only farm slaughter man far and wide that processes sheep too.
Not many butchers like working on sheep, I don't know why because I love processing sheep and I am set up with the proper equipment for it too.
To book an appointment for farm sheep slaughter contact us now. We recommend to book at least 5 months in advance to secure a spot.

A few times per year I prepare food for our families to enjoy. Today was sausage roll Sunday. :) As sausage rolls go I like the large English style kind. I use, this time, store brought puff pastry dough and four pounds of coarse ground pork that I seasoned with English Banger sausage seasoning.
While that was happening 3 pork bellies hang in the smokehouse to be transformed into bacon, this is still going and i will post about it tomorrow. It's a Sunday well spent. :)
