Formally known as the ‘Sky Dome’, this iconic structure is located in the heart of Toronto’s downtown community, at the base of one of Canada’s most recognizable structure, the CN Tower. Rogers Centre has been home to the Toronto Blue Jays since June 5, 1989. This building is the only sports and entertainment venue of its size and design in Canada. A couple unique features of Rogers Centre is its retractable roof, that allows the venue to be an open-air facility with the option of closing it due to bad weather. The roof takes approximately 25 minutes to open or close fully and weighs 11,000 tons. Structurally, Rogers Centre remains the same today as it was when opened in 1989, with only a handful of key cosmetic changes. In 2020 Rogers decided to do major renovations to the exterior of the Rogers Centre which we are happy to be apart of. So whether your strolling past on a night out in the City, or cheering on the Jays, we are proud to showcase to you Guide’s craftsmanship that adds a sense of modern sophistication to the landmark.

The CN Tower; Canada’s most recognized and celebrated structure, marks “Home” to nearly 3 million Torontonians, and holds a special place in the hearts of those who are privileged to live or work in its awe-inspiring vicinity. This wonder of the modern world attracts millions of national and international tourists every year to indulge in breathtaking views and has become a staple of Toronto’s Skyline. Though its 32-year record as the worlds tallest free-standing structure ended in 2007, the CN Tower remains the tallest free-standing structure on the Western Hemisphere, and as such, celebrated record-breaking attendance in 2017. One year later, this Canadian Icon has just celebrated its 42nd birthday with the unveiling of its biggest renovation in history and we, at Guide Woodworking, are so honored and grateful to have been part of this momentous experience! In the words of Neil Jones, COO of the CN Tower, “… it is important to keep innovating. As a national icon, the experiences we offer our guests should always be at world-class levels. We feel this renovation accomplishes that goal,” and we couldn’t agree more. This renovation has completely refreshed and modernized the piacle of Toronto culture, a monument that inspires a sense of pride for Canadians; and we couldn’t be more proud to share our contribution.
