French Provincial Two Tier Side Table.

Recently refinished in Aubusson blue chalk paint, dark antiquing glaze and touches of gold gilding wax to really make it sparkle. It was also fully sealed with two durable top coat finishes for added durability and water resistance.

Duck Egg Blue/Old White French Provincial Bedside Tables

They were just recently refinished in a customer colour combination of Duck Egg Blue, Paris Gray and a dry brushing technique of Old White Chalk paint. The hardware was painted in Old White and then received some distressing to allow the pretty gold patina to shine through. Once these two beauties receive two top coats of a durable finish they will be ready to go!!!

This pretty French Provincial Cedar Chest received a new applique to add to it's charm, three coats of Old White chalk paint, antique glazing, two protective and durable top coats and some gold gilding wax. This one is a showstopper!!!

Graphite Reupholstered Storage Chest

The base of this storage chest was given three coats of premium Graphite chalk paint and lightly distressed. It then received both clear and dark wax for added protection. The cushioned lid was created using thick, high quality foam and high loft batting for added comfort. It was then finished off with a beautiful British script upholstery fabric. All the hinge hardware was fully replaced to provide an easy swing. The interior was also fully cleaned and received an all natural oil treatment.

This is the perfect piece to add that "wow factor" to your front entrance!

Elegant Bar Cart On Casters

The base of this piece was just recently refinished using Old White chalk paint. Then sealed with a coat of clear wax, distressed and then dark wax was applied heavily to bring out all of it's fine detail. The top of this piece received four coats of Java stain in a nonuniform manner as to cover up some of the veneer's scars and create a finish that resembles an older barn board wood finish. The top was also distressed and than sealed with three coats of polyurethane to create a top coat that is both water resistant and durable.

Here is one of the pieces that I've been working on now for quite some time. It took a little longer than expected because I ran into a bit of snag when it came to replacing the old broken hinge hardware.

Most hardware made for chests are specialty items which means they can't be found at your local hardware store...good to know for next time! :)

Good Morning Beautiful People!

So, you're probably all wondering why I haven't posted anything in quite some time and to be completely honest, I have no other excuses other than I've been really busy trying to get a few pieces finished that I'm currently working on. My husband and I decided that we were in desperate need of a whole kitchen overhaul as well, so I’ve also been spending a good part of my days picking out appliances, choosing cabinets, colours, countertops, hardware, if you have ever been through a renovation process, you know exactly what I mean!

I’ve been distracted a little bit to say the least and in being a resident of Canada, the weather has been gorgeous for the last couple of weeks so I’ve also been trying to spend sometimes outdoors in my garden before the snow comes back to haunt us....yuk!!!! However, I just wanted to touch base with all of you today so say, “Hello!” and to remind you that we still have the following unfinished and finished pieces available which have been recently reduced.

These sturdy brass lamps where given a fresh new look in a hand painted Pure White finish. A little bit of lace was added to the shades and viola you have two super chic lamps!
