Use a wood moisture meter:

• Pin-type meters are best for thick slabs
• Check multiple spots, not just the surface

📏 Moisture Content (MC) = % of water inside the wood

✅ 2. What moisture level is good?

• Green wood: 25–60%+
• Air-dried: 12–18%
• Indoor furniture ready: 6–10%
• Long-term storage: below 15%

✅ 3. Proper storage humidity

• Ideal environment: 40–55% RH
• Store wood off the ground, stacked with spacers
• Avoid direct sunlight and moisture

✅ 4. Common wood drying methods

✔ Air drying
✔ Kiln drying
✔ Air + kiln drying (best balance)
