New 6 drawer Gibbard dresser ✨
I really enjoyed the process of this project, after a nice break over the holidays it was really refreshing to step back into my work.
This piece had a drab crusty top and a dated yellow dishwasher blond finish that needed to go. Now this beauty is smooth with contrast and depth.

My client is moving into her grandparents' old home that they built and these nightstands will be going back into the master bedroom! They were a wedding gift to her grandparents when they first moved and now their granddaughter will continue to love them in their original home.
This is why I love what I do! ❤️

Here it is!
It was truly a labour of love, especially when I was sanding those dowels. I really wasn't sure how the piece would look once it was all done but when I took the tape off the door I knew it was going to be a beaut.
This dresser was painted in a custom dark grey blend, in sunlight it has a nice blue tone. Dowels and base were sanded and stained in my favourite pecan shade. And those chunky brass pulls cleaned up really well.
Now this 1970s diva can live on and be as groovy as ever.

A warm red with brown and terracotta undertones. This was my first time using a red shade and it definitely won't be the last!
