Before you toss your planter box, give it a second life 🌱
A simple layer of torn cardboard at the bottom of your planter can help reduce waste, save on soil, and puts those materials to good use
Just:�
• remove tape and labels�
• tear into smaller pieces�
• layer at the bottom of your planter�
• add your soil and start planting
PRO TIP: Add small sticks and twigs alongside the cardboard to help fill space and reduce the amount of soil needed in deeper planters.
You’d be amazed by how many times you can harvest lettuce and herbs from the same plant 🌱
These are a must-have in any edible garden because you can continuously harvest the outer leaves while leaving the centre to keep growing 🙌
