My Plastic Addiction

After a long break from being featured in books, I’m excited to share something a little different. Instead of design and advertising annuals, this publication highlights the work I create after hours.

For nearly 50 years, I’ve built models and sculptures in wood and plastic. Scratch Built – Buildings and Structures (Australia) features two of my recycled-material sci-fi projects. I stepped away from model kit building in the mid-’80s, but five years ago I dove back in—and these pieces are part of that journey.

Proud to see our latest work with Brain Canada featured in Friday’s Globe and Mail — an eight-page insert celebrating Canada’s leaders in brain research.

A little bit of design, a little bit of packaging, and a whole lot of Halloween.
Here are a couple of those old “costumes in a box” from back in the day. I remember my mom picking one up for me every year — the mask barely breathable, the elastic already stretched, and the jumpsuit proudly labelled flame-retardant.

Stopped by the Cohn Farms processing plant the other day and snapped a few shots of the new packaging we worked on. As I’ve mentioned before, B2B usually doesn’t get much love—so it’s great to see designs come to life in the warehouse environment.
