Most try to fill their walls with art, define space using paint or furniture. The best way a space can be highlighted and defined and gain the most compliments is by squaring up your walls.
You can most definitely still add art over it or if you already have art in place or plan for it the mouldings can further highlight and frame in the artwork. Same applies to furniture.
