My sweet nieces are in town because they don’t start school until next week and had asked me if they could come build something with me in my shop, so we had a sweet little morning making candy machines and trying out tools together. I love seeing women try woodworking and couldn’t be prouder of my girls. My heart is so full today!

Not my usual type of work but all done on this little project! I can’t take credit for the full unit though. My clients had purchased this shelving unit (3rd pic), but it was too big for the space they had and they wanted to have a bit more variety within the unit. They gave me seven shelves to create a couple new components: a cabinet with a drawer and cabinet with dividers. The veneer on these pieces was paper thin and there weren’t any more extra pieces if I messed up my cuts, so really no room for error! Luckily, I managed to cut and assemble everything without needing any sanding or refinishing. I’m not sure I’m cut out for the pressure of this kind of high stakes woodworking, but definitely pleased with how they turned out and thankful for the loveliest, most patient repeat clients!

Heading out to see long time fave KALEO in MTL tomorrow so sharing this cutie ash record shelf seemed timely! That figured top really makes her shine!

It’s the first time someone saw a thing I made, and then said, “Hey, can you make another one of those, I want want too!” What a vote of confidence that is for a maker. I’m so thankful you enjoy my work and I got to make another! ❤️

Completely obsessed with this dreamy bathroom! My client has such an eye for design and square build co. knocked it out of the park again, bringing her vision to life (plus Michael is a complete delight to work with!). It was a treat to make this vanity, trim and shelves, all in solid maple finished with Osmo Canada Polyx Tints (Honey) for a little extra warmth. Shout out to CLAUDIO | TILE & STONE, OTTAWA for setting the gorgeous zellige tile backdrop for my pieces! 🤗

My son is graduating kindergarten this week and after two years of his antics and fielding 3,847,282 curious questions, we thought his sweet teaching team more than deserved a little treat (dispenser)! Thanks for making school a loving, fun, safe and interesting place for our little guy!
Finished with Clapham’s Beeswax salad bowl finish.

And credenzas have entered the chat! Quality control cat, Lily, approved of this baby’s quartersawn oak, waterfall grain wrap, integrated pulls, and she absolutely loved the colour of the Osmo Canada Polyx Raw finish. There were more than a few lightning strikes and late nights on this one but she turned out to be a real beauty, if I do say so myself!

Just wrapped this little run of cabinets to make use of this otherwise awkward space. This house had no front closet for coats so we used this under stair space to make a small closet and some fancy shoe storage. Getting that angle to line up in this 60s built home was no joke. I think I’ll stick to squares for the next while! 😅

Sittin’ on the dock of the bay? More like sitting on a new maple bench in the foyer! A perfect little landing spot for these clients’ guests to take their coats off and stay awhile!

Let the games begin! Just dropped this custom gaming table off to the loveliest of clients today (how my only excellent client streak continues is beyond me!). This table has a removable top to allow for a marathon gaming sesh to go undisturbed during meals and removable cup holders so no spills will happen on the gaming surface. This is definitely going to be the place they and their friends will want to be for some epic game nights!
Many thanks to Anna at for helping me find the perfect fabric to line the game surface. It turned out perfectly!
