Removed all the tile in the basement to be replaced with a neutral engineered hardwood. Trowel down application for maximum hold and moisture resistance. Still have stairs and railings along with the kitchen and counters to complete when they’re ready. Looking forward to some completion pics.

This week we’re continuing on with the completion of a fall project. We’re levelling out the garage door opening. And we decided it was best to remove the brick, replace the concrete header with a steel beam spec’d by our engineer, jack it up and reinstall the garage door. Then we will be replacing the siding with Hardie Board plank siding. And new windows. Big upgrades coming for this carlingwood area bungalow.

The crew finished off this quick bathroom refresh over the last 7 days. Wallpaper border at the top of the wall, new tub, faucet and tiled surround, new LVP flooring, toilet and vanity. Slightly underestimated how much material there is in a carcass of an old barn. So a last minute call to my friend and he delivered. Got the barn down and mostly stacked for removal. Beautiful day to be outside.
