This is a really special one for us. ❤️🇨🇦

We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with our friends at Polyboard Design to create something truly unique: a custom 8-foot table in Kiwi Green, paired with 10 Bistro Chairs paired in 5 different colours.

The result? An absolutely beautiful explosion of colour — and a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining set headed all the way from Ontario to Summerland, British Columbia.

But this delivery became about much more than furniture.

After we had everything carefully packed and shipped west, devastating forest fires were affecting the Summerland area — and our customer, Rob, and his family had actually been evacuated from their home.

Suddenly, our concern wasn’t whether the table would arrive safely.

We were praying there would be a home waiting for them when they returned.

Thankfully, with blessings from above, their home was safe. 🙏

The table and chairs made the journey across Canada, Rob and his family were able to return home, and shortly afterward we received the most wonderful letter letting us know how pleased they were with everything. They told us the furniture was easy to assemble, they loved how it turned out, and — best of all — they’d already enjoyed their first dinner around their new table.

Then they sent us these photos. ❤️

Moments like this remind us that what we build and sell eventually becomes part of somebody else’s home, their dinners, conversations, celebrations and memories.

A huge THANK YOU to Rob and his family for trusting Taylors with such a special project. We hope you gather around this table for many, many years to come.

And thank you to Polyboard Design for working alongside us to accommodate the custom dimensions and helping us bring this colourful vision to life.

🌊 REST. RECHARGE. AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD. 🇨🇦

Julia and I have arrived at Sweetwater Bay in Tobermory — truly one of our favourite places on Earth. ❤️

And of course, that means a swim in the cold, baptismal waters of Georgian Bay at what we like to call our very own personal grotto. 🥶🌊 There’s something about jumping into that crystal-clear water that resets the mind, body and soul.

A huge thank you to owners Ashley and Rick of Sweetwater Bay Inn and the Blue Heron Cruises, and to our dear friends Donata and Sander—the Inn-keepers and chefs duo—who always treat us like family. We’re incredibly grateful for the friendship, hospitality and memories we’ve made here over the years.

And thank you to YOU — our Taylors customers.

This has been one heck of a year.

Six and seven-day weeks. Long days. Challenges. Victories. Lessons learned. Orders built. Furniture delivered. New relationships created. And through all of it, we’ve continued rebuilding Taylors Recycled Plastic Products of Peterborough into a dynamic manufacturer and retailer of premium Made-in-Ontario outdoor furniture. 🇨🇦

And now the journey continues as we expand into PTBO Snow Removal and begin evolving into an even broader outdoor service company in Peterborough.

But sometimes you have to stop.

Rest. Recharge. Spend time with the person you love. Jump into some ridiculously cold Georgian Bay water. 😂 And remember exactly why you work so hard in the first place.

When we get home, it’s right back at it. We have orders to fill, new orders coming in, customers to look after and plenty of plans for what comes next.

For now, though, we’re going to enjoy beautiful Tobermory. 🌲🌊

Thank you for supporting our family, our business and this incredible journey.

See you in a few days.

— Matt & Julia ❤️

🔥 Luxury Outdoor Living — Made in Ontario.

Now this is how you build a backyard retreat.

Today we delivered these gorgeous Affinity North Shore Adirondack Rockers and Affinity Huron Chat Chairs with cushions to a customer in Fenelon Falls — perfectly positioned around a beautiful new integrated fire pit and concrete patio.

Contemporary. Comfortable. Canadian-made. And ready for a lot of evenings around the fire. 🔥🇨🇦

It was another busy delivery day for the Taylors team, with several pieces finding new homes, including Beaver Springs Rockland deep seating and a beautiful Martin Woodwork swivel glider.

To all of our customers: thank you for choosing local, supporting Ontario manufacturers, and supporting our family-run business. We truly appreciate it.

And folks, right now is one of the BEST times of the year to order outdoor furniture.

Production schedules are beginning to ease, lead times are getting shorter, and there is still plenty of beautiful Ontario outdoor living ahead of us. ☀️🍂

Imagine Thanksgiving dinner outside around your new dining table. Relaxing in deep seating on a cool September evening. Or sitting around the fire in a North Shore Rocker or Huron Chat Chair like these.

Better yet, when that first beautiful stretch of weather arrives next spring, your furniture is already there waiting for you.

Don’t wait until next May when everyone else starts thinking about their patio again — that’s exactly how so many people ended up in long production queues this year.

Order late summer. Enjoy it this fall. Be ready for spring.

Thad’s back on the forklift and another pallet of recycled plastic lumber is coming through the door. 🇨🇦

This one is destined for an order for the Toronto District School Board—and it’s just one of a whole lot of projects keeping us moving right through the middle of August.

We’ve got custom manufacturing underway, products heading up to Kapuskasing, site furnishings going all the way to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, and picnic tables still to finish for the Peterborough Humane Society now that the materials have arrived.

It has been a crazy year. Material shortages, supply-chain challenges, logistics—you name it. But here we are in mid-August, still building, still delivering, and still taking new orders.

And that’s important, because right now might actually be one of the best times of the year to order outdoor furniture.

If you waited through May, June and July because you didn’t want to deal with peak-season lead times, now’s your opportunity. A lot of retailers are already clearing out whatever inventory they have left.

We’re not.

Taylors and our Made-in-Ontario manufacturing partners are still producing new furniture. That means you can still choose the model, colours and configuration you actually want—not simply settle for whatever happens to be left on the floor.

Get that new dining set in place and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner outside. 🍂

Put the sectional on the deck and enjoy those beautiful late-summer and early-fall evenings.

Or talk to us about a Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 approach—get the pieces you want most this fall, then complete the space in the spring. We can work with you on the products, timing and pricing for each phase.

From premium to luxury. Residential to commercial. Standard collections to custom manufacturing.

Made in Ontario. Built for the outdoors. Built to last.

Don’t wait until next spring just to find yourself at the back of the line again.

Keep thinking about that outdoor space—and when you’re ready, give us a call.

Let’s get something going.

I guess there are always two sides to every coin.

Yesterday was an incredible day for Taylors. Our Grand Opening at Lansdowne Place was everything I could have hoped for, and I’m looking forward to sharing more photos and videos as they come in.

It was a real honour to have representatives from our municipal, provincial and federal governments join us, along with our suppliers, partners, friends and family — and so many people who have supported us along the way.

Thank you to Mayor Jeff Leal, Councillors Leslie Parnell and Kevin Duguay, representatives from MP Emma Harrison’s office and MPP Dave Smith’s office, James Gibb from Affinity Outdoor Living, Shinya Kominami from Ori Muskoka, and everyone who attended, sent a message, wished us well or helped make the day possible.

It meant more to me than you probably know.

But with the good sometimes comes the difficult.

Yesterday also brought some logistical challenges, and unfortunately some of those carried over into today.

This year has been like that.

Material shortages. Supply-chain issues. Transportation and logistical challenges. Rising costs. Things that are sometimes completely beyond our control.

And I’ll admit, it isn’t always easy to put on the cheery face you see in these videos.

My family probably sees that more than anyone. They get the version of me at the end of the day when something didn’t arrive, something went wrong, a deadline changed, or another problem landed on the desk that needed to be solved.

This isn’t my first rodeo as an entrepreneur, but 2026 has somehow managed to be one of the most challenging years I’ve experienced in business — and at the very same time, one of the most successful.

Maybe those two things go together more often than we realize.

Because despite the challenges, look at what we’re building.

We manufacture right here in Peterborough. We’ve developed an incredible network of Ontario designers and manufacturers. We’re offering products that are 100% made in Ontario. We ship across Canada. And now we have a beautiful showroom at Lansdowne Place where people can see what Ontario manufacturing is capable of.

And we’re just getting started.

Our goal is to make the Lansdowne Place showroom permanent and eventually fully staffed. We want to continue expanding our Peterborough manufacturing operation. We want to create jobs. We want to develop new products. And we want to build Taylors into something that our community can be proud of.

But we can’t do that alone.

So if you’re reading this, I have one small ask.

Maybe you need outdoor furniture. Maybe your business does. Maybe your condominium, golf course, school, hospital, municipality, resort, campground, restaurant or community organization has an upcoming project.

Or maybe you simply know someone who does.

Give us an opportunity.

Refer us. Ask us for a quote. Tell someone about us. Come into the showroom. Give us a chance to show you what we can do.

Residential. Commercial. Institutional. One chair or an entire site.

Our capabilities are growing, our network is growing, and we’re incredibly proud that what we’re offering is made right here in Ontario — including products we manufacture right here in Peterborough.

There are going to be difficult days. That’s business. That’s entrepreneurship. That’s life.

But regardless of the day you had today, there’s always another great day waiting for you.

Yesterday reminded me of that.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in Taylors, support us, refer us and cheer us on.

We’ll keep building. 🇨🇦

Made in Peterborough. Made in Ontario. Built for the outdoors.
