Dear Diary,

Tonight, my human said the words:

"Let's just watch one episode."

I knew immediately that was a lie.

One episode became two.

Two became three.

Then came the classic:

"Well, we're already this far."

It's now 1:17 a.m.

The television is still on.

The snacks are gone.

And I'm pretty sure tomorrow morning is going to be difficult.

But on the bright side...

My footrest has never been so appreciated.

🛋️ Streaming responsibly since... well, apparently not tonight.

Dear Diary,

Remember when I said I hoped for a family?

Well... I got one.

The humans are wonderful.

The golden retriever, however, seems to believe I'm his recliner.

Every morning he beats everyone to me.

Every evening he sighs dramatically if someone asks him to move.

Honestly... he's pretty convincing.

The humans ended up buying a throw blanket just so they wouldn't feel guilty disturbing him.

I think I've accidentally become the family dog's favourite place in the house.

I can't complain.

He's warm.

The Recliner Diaries...Entry #1

Dear Diary,

Today I arrived at Homestead Furniture.

The sofa across from me says I'm going to find my forever family soon. I hope they're nice.

I'd love a home with movie nights, weekend naps, and someone who appreciates a good footrest.

I don't ask for much...
Just the occasional blanket and maybe a side table close enough for snacks.

I've heard rumours about dogs stealing chairs.

I'm choosing not to believe them.
