Every custom piece starts somewhere, usually with an idea, a few messages, and a plan.

Now, that idea is taking shape right here in our workshop, one step at a time. 🪵

There’s something special about watching a simple concept turn into something real, handcrafted, and made to last.

We can’t wait to show you how this one turns out!

To everyone else, it’s just noise. To a woodworker? That’s the sound of a good day in the shop.

The cuts, the sanding, the tools running… we hear music. Everyone else hears a construction site.

Woodworkers, be honest: which workshop sound is your favorite? Drop it in the comments!

Everyone sees the finished piece.
Few people see the hours it takes to get there.

The careful cuts, the endless sanding, the small details, and the patience behind every step. That’s what turns raw materials into something built to last.

Because great craftsmanship isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how it’s made.

Some furniture fills a space. Other pieces become part of your story. 🪵

One is replaced in a few years. The other gets passed down, carrying memories, character, and a little more history with every generation.

At Welsh Woodworking + Design, we believe furniture should be built for more than just today. Every slab, every detail, and every finish is part of creating something worth keeping.

Because trends come and go. **Quality craftsmanship never goes out of style.**

Would you rather buy furniture for now or invest in a piece that could stay in your family for generations? 👀

Measure.
Cut.
Stare at it.
Swear.
Add wood glue and pretend it was part of the plan.

Because sometimes the best woodworking skill isn't getting it right the first time… it's knowing how to fix what you just did. 🪵😂

Woodworkers, tell us we're not the only ones. 👇

A little checklist of what goes into a custom charcuterie board. 👀🪵

✔️ Hand-selected live-edge walnut
✔️ Emerald epoxy river
✔️ Carefully shaped and refined
✔️ Hours of sanding, polishing, and finishing
✔️ Completely handcrafted from start to finish

What you see in the final reveal is the result of a whole lot of time, patience, and attention to detail.

And honestly… that final look makes every hour worth it. 🔥

Would you serve your guests on this?

Pretty little baby. 🌊🪵

You’d never guess what this looked like before it got here.

The pour is messy. Epoxy everywhere, pigment swirling, bubbles refusing to cooperate… and for a while, it looks like you might’ve made a huge mistake. 😂

Then you let it do its thing.

24 hours later, the epoxy settles, the colors come alive, and everything starts to make sense.

Messy pour → beautiful finish.

That’s woodworking. You trust the process, put in the work, and let the materials do what they do best. 🪵🌊
