Edmonton, October came with a few jump scares. 🎃❄️

The first snow. Furnaces running again. And a few furniture mistakes you really don’t want to discover after spending money on a new table.

From dry indoor air to dining room measurements, we’ve rounded up 5 things worth checking before November.

Which one’s caught you off guard before? 👀

Not your average staff collaboration tables. 👀

A local college wanted an earth-and-water theme for its collaboration space.

So we paired figured curly maple slabs with an epoxy river design, bringing a little of the outdoors inside.

And the natural grain on these slabs? Worth a closer look.

🪵 Would you choose an epoxy river table or keep the wood all-natural?

Part 2 is the finished reveal. Follow along!

Ever looked at the price of a custom dining table and wondered what you’re actually paying for?

It’s a fair question.

The wood is only one part of it. There’s the size, the construction, the finish, the base, and all the details that go into making a table specifically for your home.

And here’s the thing: not every custom choice needs to be an expensive one.

Sometimes, knowing where to spend and where to simplify makes all the difference.

Which would you prioritize: the hardwood, the size, or the design?

Planning a custom dining table in Edmonton? Let’s talk about your ideas and budget.

Custom furniture costs more. But more for what?
It’s a fair question.

Real hardwood. Skilled craftsmanship. Thoughtful details. A piece built around your space, not the other way around.

Because the real value isn’t just in how a table looks when it arrives.

It’s in how it fits your home, how it holds up to everyday life, and how many years you’ll spend gathering around it.

A good table isn’t just another purchase. It’s a decision you shouldn’t have to keep making.

Make your Edmonton home the place everyone wants to gather.

A custom hardwood dining table gives the room warmth, presence, and a reason to stay a little longer.

Walnut is especially good at that. Rich tones, natural grain, and a solid feel that makes the whole space feel more grounded.

If holiday hosting is on your mind, now is the time to start planning.

Current custom furniture lead time: 6–12 weeks.

When the wood looks this good, you protect it.

The grain, the colour, the natural character. That’s what makes every piece of hardwood unique.

And keeping it looking its best matters just as much as building it right.

That’s why we use Osmo finishes to help protect the wood while letting its natural beauty speak for itself.
