Shoe rack bench - made from Sapele, and a mix of random scraps 😀
It's hard to capture in camera, but I love how much depth the sapele grain has. It also shimmers in the sunlight. No stains were used - just a few coats of lacquer.
I try to create something new every time I want to use up my scraps. In this instance, I wanted to replace my old cheap plastic shoe rack with something sturdy that I can sit on. The only new material I had to buy were the aluminum tubes. The result is a super sturdy bench that can hold two adults and 8 pairs of shoes. A great way to use up my scraps while being super useful 👌

Composed of a mix of cherry, walnut, oak, purpleheart, maple, and mahogany AKA whatever extra wood I had laying around. All natural colors with no stains used. Clear finish. If you don't finish first, you're last.

Media Rack - Cherry and Purpleheart
This was definitely the heaviest shelf (or, in this case, media rack) that I've ever built. 3" thick cherry shelves, and 3" thick purpleheart legs. Each shelf measures roughly 20" x 40". Solid wood throughout. This thing is HEAVY. The client intends on using it to store his audio equipment. I really love how all the grain and colours pop. No stains were used - just a clear lacquer finish.

Island extension cabinet - baltic birch with a solid maple top.
The existing seating area for this island was underutilized, and the client wanted more storage space in lieu of seating. This cabinet extends into the footwell, adding an additional 16 inches (depth) of storage space and 10 inches (depth) of counter space.
