This beautiful vintage sofa and chair set has been given a fresh new look! We replaced the original patterned upholstery with a lovely soft cream fabric chosen and supplied by our customer.

The lighter fabric really brings out the beautiful curves, rolled arms, and rich wood detailing of these timeless pieces. We love how the classic design has been preserved while giving the entire set a fresh, elegant feel.

From the three-cushion sofa to the beautifully detailed armchairs and wooden accent chair, each piece received its own special attention.

❤️ There’s something so rewarding about giving well-loved furniture a new lease on life!

A big thank you to our wonderful customer for trusting us with these beautiful pieces!

What a difference new upholstery can make!
This beautiful sofa has been given a whole new look.

This gorgeous piece got an elegant makeover with beautiful, soft cream fabric.

To finish it off, we added new coordinating pillows, including lovely sage green accent pillows that complement the warm tones of the original carved wood base.

We absolutely love how this transformation turned out! The sofa has kept all of its original charm and character while getting a fresh, timeless look that can be enjoyed for years to come. ❤️

Sometimes all a beautiful piece of furniture needs is a second chance!

This beautiful set received a complete makeover!

My husband refinished the wood, bringing out that gorgeous warm grain, and I reupholstered the chairs and footstool in a custom-printed William Morris “Strawberry Thief” velvet.

I absolutely love how the rich, detailed pattern works with the newly refinished wood. It gives these beautiful old pieces a whole new life while still keeping all of their original character and charm.

There’s something so satisfying about taking furniture that has already stood the test of time and making it beautiful for many more years to come. ❤️

This cozy chaise lounge chair was brought to me by one of my wonderful clients for a complete transformation. I gave it a fresh new look in this beautiful marmalade-coloured corduroy, and I absolutely love how it turned out! 🧡

The rich, warm colour and soft texture of the corduroy give this piece so much personality while making it feel cozy and inviting.

It’s always amazing to see how a beautiful fabric and a little craftsmanship can completely transform a well-loved piece of furniture!

This beauty has been completely recovered in a soft, luxurious cream shearling fabric, giving it a cozy, modern feel while still preserving its amazing vintage character.

I absolutely love bringing older pieces back to life and giving them a whole new personality. 🤍 The combination of the classic mid-century shape and the soft textured fabric makes this chair a true statement piece!

There’s nothing better than giving well-loved furniture a whole new life! ❤️
I recovered these beautiful outdoor cushions for a lovely customer, giving this set a complete refresh with brand-new foam and beautiful new fabric.
The fresh blue and white pattern gives this outdoor seating area such a bright, inviting feel—perfect for enjoying those summer days and taking in that gorgeous view!
I love seeing the difference that new foam and quality fabric can make. Instead of replacing the furniture, we gave it a fresh start and brought it back to life!
Thank you so much to my wonderful customer for trusting GrandmotherCouch with your furniture. It was a pleasure working on this set!

I had the pleasure of giving this classic chair and these two ottomans a whole new look.
The beautiful striped fabric adds such a fresh, timeless feel while still allowing the gorgeous curves and details of the original chair to shine.
I love how the pattern flows across the pieces and brings everything together as a set. From the chair to the ottomans, this was such a fun project to bring back to life!
Upholstery is more than just new fabric — it’s about giving beautiful furniture a new chapter.

I had the pleasure of creating custom drapery for The Edit HQ in downtown Napanee, and I absolutely love how these sheers turned out.
The finished drapery adds softness and warmth to the space while still allowing all that beautiful natural light to come through.
I’m so happy to be able to work with local businesses and bring custom upholstery and drapery projects to life.
Thank you to The Edit HQ for trusting me with this project!

This chair was completely stripped and rebuilt from the inside out. All of the old foam and fabric were removed and replaced with new foam and a beautiful new fabric. A lot of work goes into bringing an older piece back to life, but I think this one was well worth it! Another chair with a whole new look and many more years ahead. ❤️
