I’m packing my bags for New Orleans to attend the W2W conference and am honoured to have been chosen to participate in this year’s conference.

If you are attending, pleas say hello. I look forward to a deep dive into shared learning and mentoring, and the many new connections.

Controversial POV: creating a kitchen isn't just about picking pretty things.

The art of putting them all together in just the right way, well that takes practice and experience. In this kitchen, there was originally a window where the range sits now. But the homeowner needed more storage than another window when there is already one right over the sink (where we all want it - yes?). The custom range hood is now a standout feature, anchoring the cooking area beautifully with lots of landing space on either side for the cooktop.

Planning for all the activities is part of the job. Making it beautiful - well, that's the joy!

Well the cat’s out of the bag!

I’m thrilled and honoured to announce that I’ve been selected to attend the 5th annual NKBA Women to Women conference, being held in New Orleans Lousisanna.

W2W brings together 100 of the most influential women in kitchen and bath, selected through a curated application process, for three days of mentorship, business insight, and meaningful connection.

I truly believe that mentorship, collaboration, and the generous exchange of knowledge strengthens both designers and the industry and am honoured to have been chosen to participate in this year’s conference.

After one of our long-time clients hired us once, for her city home, she homeowner hired us to work our magic on her country home - aka "the farm".

She and her fiancé wanted to keep a lot of the original home's quirky charm, but with a fresh update (especially the bathrooms, becasue well ---priorities).

At first glance, your eye goes right to the soft grey tones in the cabinetry, floor tiles, and shampoo niche, but the real design detail? It's hiding in plain sight. The rectangular mirror subtly echoes the tile pattern, and the detail on the vanity, tying it all together.

Your dresser isn't just for storage. It's one of the first things you see every morning.

Style it with intention.

A piece of art you love.
A beautiful lamp.
Fresh greenery.
A meaningful object collected on your travels.

When the everyday is thoughtfully curated, even the simplest moments feel more beautiful.

What's one item on your dresser that tells your story?

A final goodbye.

There are women who shape us so profoundly that their influence becomes woven into who we are.

My mother was one of those women.

As I said a final goodbye to her today, I found myself thinking about all the things she gave me that cannot be measured or held: an appreciation for beauty, an eye for detail, a love of making things, and perhaps most importantly, the courage to create.

Creativity is often spoken about as though it is something we discover within ourselves. But I think so much of it is inherited - not necessarily through talent, but through the women who teach us how to see.

They shape our sense of beauty.
They influence what we value.
They show us what is worth preserving.
And, without realizing it, they leave pieces of themselves in everything.

My mother’s influence will live on in my work, in my love of craftsmanship, in the way I notice the small things, and in the many ways I continue to create.

Today, I said my final goodbye to her.

But I know she will continue to be part of everything I make, everything I see, and everything I am.

For the women who shape us, and for the mothers whose creative fingerprints remain long after they are gone. 🤍

Leave it to Florence to keep my head in the clouds for ages. To be fair, Florence was at the tail end of a fabulous trip to the Amalfi coast, and Tuscany, but this city has my heart.

Art, fabulous dining, gelatarias, history, and culture - what's not to love?

One of the biggest design mistakes? Creating a dining room that's only used twice a year.

Your dining room should invite everyday moments, not just holiday dinners.

Whether it's family meals, coffee with a friend, or working from home for an afternoon, beautiful spaces deserve to be lived in.

If this felt personal, my DMs are open.

Grateful doesn't begin to cover it.
Thank you to everyone who came out to talk design, decor, and everything in between.
