I have been trying to sell this coffee table for a while now. It has a red oak top sealed with varathane, mounted on powder coated metal legs. If anyone is interested just send me a message.

Due to my foolishness and because everyone was asking... The price is $250 however I am open to negotiation.

The epoxy has been poured and torched, now we wait for it to dry. A little bit of clean-up along the edges and we should be done!

Cutting, sanding and gluing complete. Is it a masterpiece, maybe not quite. However I am pleased with how it turned out for the first attempt. At that is left is to apply the epoxy and hope for the best!

This time of year is very busy at my house so there is not as much time available to work on projects. However, there is progress on the chessboard. I am ready to build a base with some kind of border to finish the look. I am thinking of sealing it with a clear epoxy, that should look nice.

I have some strips of white pine and heat treated white pine, I am going to try my hand at building a chess board. I will post my progress once I get started.

I have gathered up the material to make another blanket box. I will be posting updates as I go to show everyone how I put it together.

Hockey loves to talk about grit, hard work, and earning your spot. But there is a side of the game we do not talk about enough.
The cost of playing hockey keeps rising. Equipment, travel, camps, private coaching. For many families, talent alone is not enough to keep a kid in the game.
When access becomes limited, the sport loses potential stars before they ever get a real chance. And more importantly, it loses diversity, creativity, and growth.
If we truly care about the future of hockey, we need to care about affordability and accessibility. Because the next great player might be sitting on the sidelines, not because of lack of skill, but because of cost.
This is a conversation worth having.

Spring is right around the corner and the birds are chirping. Time to get yourself a bird house, bird feeder or maybe one of each!

The feeder is made from pine and can be painted to extend its life and give it some character. The bird house is made from cedar and is designed for small birds like Chickadees.
