Friday, October 23 — Stop Keeping Every Manual

Do you have a drawer or shelf filled with instruction manuals?

Today's quick tip: Choose one manual and ask yourself whether you still need the paper copy.

If the information is readily available online and you feel comfortable accessing it there, you may not need to keep the booklet.

Check that you can find the correct manual before letting it go.

One manual is enough for today's task!

Thursday, October 22 — Make an Action Pile

Some papers stay on our counters because they need us to do something with them.

Today, gather up to 5 papers that require action and put them together in one designated spot.

These might be forms to complete, calls to make, bills to review, or letters to answer.

Choose one action you can complete in the next few days.

A paper is much easier to manage when you know what needs to happen next!

Wednesday, October 21 — Tame the Receipts

Receipts can pile up before we even notice!

Today's tip: Spend 5 minutes going through a small handful of receipts.

Keep the ones you need for returns, warranties, taxes, or recordkeeping. Let go of the ones you no longer need.

If you're unsure whether a receipt is important, set it aside to review rather than making a rushed decision.

Just a handful today!

Tuesday, October 20 — Check Your Paper Supplies

Do you have papers scattered around because you don't have a simple way to organize them?

Take 5 minutes to see what you already have. A folder, a few envelopes, a magazine holder, or a small box may be all you need.

You don't need to buy fancy organizing products to get started.

Use what you have and make it work for you!
