It never ceases to amaze me how many absolutely beautiful items are made out of wood. Often, you really don't know what you've got until the dedicated hand of a master cabinetmaker works his magic. Recently, one of our long time customers brought in what I thought was a heap of firewood, but in actuality, it was a turn of the century armoir. Clearly neglected for some time, Ken went to work patiently refitting, gluing, reinforcing, squaring, clamping piece by piece until its' true purpose was revealed.

Achieving that glass top finish requires multiple layers of polyurethane and a delicate sanding between coats. A curing time of one month is recommended before the final buffing. Time and patience are crucial. Attached is a photo of such a finish on a recent media cabinet built to spec.
