Sometimes I get a great story along with a request for one of my creations. Thank you Megan Taylor who ordered an Apple Wood Bowl that evoked memories of the Apple & Cherry orchard on her grandparent’s farm. Just off the lathe a medium sized “ring” bowl! This stunning piece of ambrosia maple is 7” wide 3” deep. (Ambrosia maple is not a distinct species. It describes a highly sought-after, character-rich figure found in soft maple (such as red or silver maple).
