Three checks: hand-carved panels, solid-wood joinery instead of glue-and-staple, and a dark hardwood face left as it is — no veneer. Same family, eight pieces.

Three things you can check: hand-carved solid wood frames, gold-leaf lines along every moulding, and high-density upholstery that holds its shape. Ten pieces, one room, no narration.

The frame is carved in one continuous run of scrollwork — no applied mouldings; the gilding is gold leaf laid over red bole, so the recesses sit warmer than the crest; and the plate is bevelled, cutting a bright band along all four edges.

Shell crest on the headboard. Cane panels set inside the gilt outline.
Damask stretched so the seams stay even. Then the same carving carried
down onto the footboard, so the piece reads from the door as one object.

Eight details from our showroom floor — swipe slowly.

Count the pieces on that bench.

Every curved part in that row has just come off the chisel — same shape, same carving, same chair. Two of them make one side of a dining chair. Lined up like that, the bench holds a dozen chairs, waiting to be paired, assembled and painted.

That row is not stock. It's someone's dining room, still in the shape of parts.

One walk through a classical showroom — a giltwood dining suite, a glazed display cabinet with carved posts, a damask armchair, a marquetry-top coffee table and a carved giltwood bed. Which piece would you take first?

16/10/2026

A classical furniture showroom in one walk — two gold-brown buttoned armchairs on giltwood cabriole frames, a curved cream sofa with a slim gilt edge, a tweed armchair with a scroll arm, a French glass-top dining table on gilded legs, a gold-leaf sideboard with black lacquered framing and an oval inlay, a black cabinet with gilded scroll carving, and a blue buttoned headboard.

16/10/2026

A walk through a classical furniture showroom, one living-room piece at a time. A cream armchair with a diamond-tufted back and a carved giltwood frame, a matching sofa, and a dark carved coffee table with a gilt-rimmed top on cabriole legs.

15/10/2026

A quilted brown leather high-back chair, an olive leather armchair, a gilded classical fauteuil, a cream upholstered dining chair, a dark sculptural chair, a patterned fabric accent chair, an orange velvet chair, and a purple patterned chair.

15/10/2026

A cream two-seat settee with layered cushions, a pair of patterned armchairs, a round dining table ringed with oval-back chairs, a cane-back chair, a soft upholstered bed with its nightstand, a chest of drawers below framed art, a deep blue buttoned sofa, and a hand-painted tall chest.
