Welcome to Campus Wattwil

The new Campus Wattwil in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen officially opened on August 10, 2026. Designed by Gunz & Künzle Architekt*innen, the replacement building for the Kantonsschule is a modern, future-oriented place of learning for around 720 students.

Around 160 of our lamps, „Eine Stehleuchte“ and „Eine Hängeleuchte“, are part of the campus. Repeated across open spaces, the canteen and shared areas, one simple form creates a calm, coherent rhythm, while still leaving room for individual character. For this project, the pendant lights were fitted with custom-selected colored textile cables, tailored to the architectural concept of the building.

A big thank you to Gunz & Künzle Architekt*innen, the client Canton of St. Gallen (Building and Environment Department), all planners involved, the electrical planning and installation team, and everyone who contributed, for your trust and the great collaboration.

Thanks for the photos, Soma Gunz & Künzle Architekt*innen 🩷
