Further collections including home accessories, textiles and outdoor furniture followed. ames collaborates with internationally established designers who are willing to immerse themselves into the diverse and fascinating culture of Ana María’s home country. Bringing Colombian joie de vivre to your living room by creating wonderful, unique and traditionally handcrafted designs is one of ames’s main goals. But there are other aspects that are very important for our company: a happy team is always of top priority. ames has close and personal contact to the artesanos who manufacture the collections in various regions in Colombia. Behind every product is a beautiful story of craftsmanship, tradition and independence. ames encourages single mothers and young men without career opportunities as well as small family-run manufacturies in outlying regions. It is Ana María’s sincere wish to support the people of her home country and to uphold traditional crafts which otherwise be forgotten. Furthermore, ames values sustainability and environment protection. We focus on a resource-friendly production and use mainly natural materials for all of our products.
