The OSIS BO Wall Light pairs our signature OSIS Surface in flexible birch veneer with a sleek metal frame. When lit, it casts a warm, ambient glow that perfectly highlights the wood’s natural grain.

Since 2012, LLOT LLOV has been developing innovative surface treatments for wood. Building on the Wooden Aquarelle technique – a fluid interplay of water-soluble pigments developed by designer Meike Harde -LLOT LLOV has evolved the process into a new design language: ALIR, a dynamic, self-organizing color gradient that turns wood into a fluid canvas.
The TILO Seat makes this surface tangible. Built from straightforward, intersecting wooden planes with an architectural silhouette and an extended armrest as its most distinctive element, the chair is a study in contrast: a rigorous, geometric structure carrying a soft, charismatic finish.

The MAK Vase translates traditional rope techniques into a striking, sculptural vessel. Enveloped in a dense, tactile fringe of thick, dark threads, this bold outer shell reimagines conventional macramé to create a highly textured, grounded centerpiece. Beneath this voluminous textile exterior lies a functional core: a mouth-blown glass container designed to elegantly hold cut flowers or soil for live plants. The vase is the result of a dedicated social workshop Dobbins and Daughters based in Riga, Latvia.

We also presented the evolution of our signature OSIS surface — an exploration begun in 2012, where salt and pigment organically transform wood veneer. This show also marks the official debut of ALIR, our new surface and the latest chapter in the studio’s ongoing love for experimental, tactile design.

It all began on a long Berlin night in 2005 and suddenly it is two decades later and Ania Bauer and Jacob Brinck are celebrating 20 years of LLOT LLOV.

As part of the Currents. Design in Berlin festival, we invite you to celebrate this milestone with us. We are hosting the event in a true berlin location: a former factory on Pücklerstraße, right in the heart of Kreuzberg in Berlin.

This exhibition is not a traditional retrospective, but rather our very personal declaration of love to the Berlin community from which we emerged.

We are showcasing our latest objects, designed as a tribute to the journey of our studio. Experience how we translate traditional craftsmanship—such as macramé, knitwear, and textile treatments into design.

OSIS is a process of ongoing evolution — salt, pigment, and wood in constant dialogue. Out of our latest studio developments, a new set of shades has emerged to expand the possibilities for your next custom piece, table, or shelving unit.

06_21 CHICKPEA: A warm, light beige where big salt chunks draw out soft, deep caramel pigments.
01_46 PLUM: A rich, reddish-purple displaying organic, cell-like shapes with dark pigment centers.
06_11 FLOW: A cool slate-blue defined by bold, rock-patterned structures and a striking yellow gradient.
04_24 FANGO: An earthy dark brown with a dense sprinkle of fine speckles for a deeply intricate texture.

Traditional Japanese vernacular meets cutting-edge design at The Artificial Life Institute in Kyoto’s historic Gojo district. For this renovated teahouse by ., we supplied our OSIS surface in warm grey for the custom-built cabinet. The handmade, organic texture adds a beautiful, nature-inspired layer to the main meeting room, sitting in stunning contrast with the rich material palette of traditional tatami mats and oxidised copper. 📸 Edvinas Bruzas
