Crafted in stained ash or mahogany, the Bon stool showcases Bakker’s mastery of serene form and materiality. The piece features a sculptural tension between two opposing container shapes: a deep, upright vertical volume and a flat horizontal plane that forms the seat.

Comprising 12 precision-cut triangular elements, TriAngle is engineered to interlock with seamless accuracy. The assembly culminates in a sophisticated square stool or side table characterized by a highly refined aesthetic. Over time, the sharp geometry and structural junctions will soften and develop a unique patina, transforming natural wear and aging into an intentional, integral element of the design.

Glass Carafe The carafe’s transformation from a wide bottom to a slender neck creates a soft, organic shape, echoed in the accompanying drinking glass, which ingeniously doubles as a lid. Whether placed side by side or with the glass inverted atop the carafe, the set’s shape captivates with its intriguing allure.

The iconic 925 Scarpa lounge chair is a strikingly elegant lounge chair. Easily recognized by its firm and robust wooden frame and the striking contrast it creates to the lightness of the leather covered seat and backrest. The anatomical design of the seat, combined with the natural elasticity of the cantilevered backrest, creates a lounge chair that is equally comfortable and elegant.

Originally nicknamed the “Levi’s Chair,” Bakker conceived the design with the relaxed familiarity of a favourite pair of jeans - an informal alternative to the more rigid furniture of the generation before.

The design has since been updated with discreet feet, lifting it slightly from the floor to improve comfort. Available as a lounge chair with an optional pouf, GB Lounge can stand alone or be linked using connectors to create a flexible seating arrangement.

The 925 Scarpa lounge chair was developed alongside the 121 Scarpa dining chair, dating from 1965.

The pair embodies Afra and Tobia Scarpa’s approach to form and construction, with their recognisable double-trestle frames and rounded joints.

Both chairs are part of the Karakter collection.

She has been featured in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal Magazine. She designed a desk for MIT which was dubbed ‘The most beautiful desk in the world’ and eventually immortalized in three early James Bond movies.

Danish architect, designer and professor Bodil Kjær (born 1932) is the female trail-blazer of Danish midcentury design. Kjær looked to America, inspired by Charles and Ray Eames, and indeed many of her most notable designs stems from her time in the U.S., where she briefly worked at Paul McCobb, before moving to Boston to further her career in corporate interior architecture.
