A skin embroidery on a sewing bag from Ammassalik, which represents an eye-like symbol has been the inspiration for the museum logo of Nunatta Katersugaasivia Greenland National Museum & Archives. The symbol is to be found on East Greenland skin ornamentation and its meaning is interpreted as both ‘vigilance’ and ‘sense’. These words are very apposite, regarding the museum’s function as an information centre and research institution.
Taking the museum’s logo as our departure point, soSouvenir has designed a jewelry collection with fine gilded pendants for necklaces and earrings. Its simple idiom means that the logo can make the transition from its creation in 1978 directly to the fashion of our times.
