In 2020 an elements edition of the EJ 220 sofa was launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Erik Jørgensen's first sofa the classic EJ 220 sofa.
EJ 220 was designed in 1970 by Erik Jørgensen. Today EJ 220 and EJ 220 Elements is still a part of the Erik Jørgensen collection and every sofa is created at the manufactory located in the small Danish town Tved on Funen.

I løbet af 1970’erne designede han EJ 220, som sidenhen er blevet en af grundstenene i Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabriks kollektion og arketypen for den klassiske danske kassesofa. Sofaen er blevet synonymt med godt håndværk og klassisk dansk design.

THE EJ 220 DESIGNED BY FOUNDER ERIK JØRGENSEN
In 1970 Erik Jørgensen designed the EJ 220, which later became one of the foundations in the collection at Erik Jørgensen, as well as becoming the archetype for the classic Danish box sofa.
