Denmark's Overshoot Day 🌎️ is today, it marks when our country exceeds its yearly share of Earth's resources. From this point, we operate in "ecological debt," highlighting the need for more sustainable consumption and production.⁠

The Pharma Blue R.U.M. chair, our newest color, is made from recycled injection pens from the pharmaceutical industry. We use waste material from 142 insulin pens to produce one chair. ⁠
All our pharma waste is collected and sorted in Denmark.⁠

Our Fisherman’s Green ⁠🎣⁠
Fishing net: Abandoned nets pose a severe threat to life in our oceans and coasts, causing entanglements and pollution. Using discarded fishing net as material for products is both eco-friendly and contribute to cleaner oceans and a healthier planet. The majority of all fishing nets used in our products are collected from Danish or Faroe waters and sorted by hand in Denmark to ensure a correct usage of the material.⁠

Our Keyboard Black ⁠🖤⁠
Electronic waste, or e-waste, consist of recycled plastic from discarded electronic devices. With technological appliances being produced and consumed in a large extent – the fastest growing waste stream in Europe – it becomes important to reuse the considerable abundant amount of e-waste that, due to our consumption, only naturally arises. Discarded electronic devices contribute to toxic waste streams, yet many of their components can be salvaged and repurposed. ⁠
By integrating e-waste into furniture production, we can create unique technologically infused pieces while diverting harmful materials. ⁠
All our e-waste material is from Austria.⁠

Recycled plastic is made from repurposed materials, reducing the need for extracting new raw materials like petroleum. This process lessens the environmental burden associated with resource extraction and manufacturing, while simultaneously giving new life to materials that might otherwise end up as waste in landfills or polluting ecosystems.⁠
In contrast, producing wooden chairs often involves cutting down trees. While wood is a renewable resource, the growth cycle of many tree species spans decades. Deforestation contributes to biodiversity loss and increases greenhouse gas emissions, as trees that would otherwise absorb CO₂ are removed from the environment.⁠
