Consider this your reminder to make time for sauna this week. A little warmth, a little 𝘭𝘦𝘪𝘭, a little time away from everything else 😌
Sauna just has a way of making everything feel a little better 🔥

Speed on the track, peace in the sauna 🏎️🔥
For racing driver Martin Rump, life on the track is all about speed, concentration and split-second decisions. Sauna offers the complete opposite: a chance to slow down, recover and switch off for a while.
“As an athlete, I see sauna mainly as a recovery tool. But for me, it is definitely not only about physical recovery. Being able to switch off from everything for a while is actually what I am looking for.”
There’s also an interesting connection between racing and sauna: heat. On hot race days, cockpit temperatures can reach 50–60°C, and in extreme cases Martin has experienced around 70°C. Yet behind the wheel, concentration and reaction speed still need to stay sharp.
In the sauna, there’s no need for that same sharpness. As Martin puts it, the stronger the steam gets, the fewer thoughts you have and the emptier your mind becomes.

Starting your sauna from your phone is convenient. But how do you make sure it’s safe to start when you’re not there? 📱
With UKU 4.2, remote start begins with a physical check of the sauna room. Once you’ve confirmed that everything is safe, the door sensor detects if the sauna door is opened, while other built-in safety features monitor the heating process.
It means you get the convenience of having your sauna ready when you need it, while the physical safety check remains an important part of every remote start.
In our latest blog post, we explain how remote start safety works, what the different UKU sensors monitor, and why correct sensor placement matters.

It’s all in the details 🤎
This outdoor sauna by DWILD is full of beautiful design choices, from the clean architectural lines and warm wood interior to the carefully crafted benches and lighting.
And the attention to detail goes beyond what you see inside. Even the UKU sauna control system has its own dedicated compartment on the outside, keeping everything neatly tucked away while still easily accessible.
At the heart of the sauna is our CORE heater, fitting seamlessly into the minimal design and bringing the warmth 🔥
A beautiful example of how the little details can make all the difference.

Happy Restoration of Independence Day, Estonia! 🇪🇪
Today, we celebrate the place we’re proud to call home. We cherish our roots, our culture, and our traditions. We love black bread with sprat, hikes through thick forests, fresh air, beautiful nature, our people - and, of course, the 𝘭𝘦𝘪𝘭 rising in our saunas.
But above all, today we celebrate the freedom that allows us to enjoy it all.
So we raise our flags, spend time in nature, share good food, warm up the sauna, and feel especially grateful for our little corner of the world.
There’s truly no place we’d rather call home 🤍
Elagu Eesti!

👉 Yes, that’s right! If you’re struggling to fall asleep or waking up too early, a well-timed sauna session might help you.
Inside the sauna, heat dilates your blood vessels, increasing blood flow toward your skin. After stepping out, your body begins to cool down, closely mimicking your natural “power down” cues before sleep. This shift helps your body prepare for rest, making it easier to fall asleep 💤
The post-sauna cooling phase also supports your body’s natural temperature rhythm, which plays an important role in sleep quality - especially as we age and our internal “thermostat” becomes less efficient.
So, if you’ve been having trouble sleeping, a sauna session in the evening might be worth a try.
After all, good sleep is the foundation of feeling your best 😉
Have you noticed better sleep after a sauna session?

In Estonia, we have a saying: "Naised saunas rääkisid," which translates to "Women in sauna talked." And it's more than just a phrase.. It captures exactly how sauna encourages genuine connection.
Outside the sauna, conversations might stay polite, short, or even superficial. But step into the gentle heat, surrounded by calming steam, and suddenly barriers fall away. You're relaxed, honest, and ready to share openly.
Beyond its many physical health perks - like better circulation, detoxification, and muscle recovery - sauna time significantly boosts our mental wellbeing. It encourages authentic conversations, strengthens bonds, and helps ease social anxieties and feelings of loneliness.
Sauna truly brings people closer 🤎
Have you noticed that sauna makes conversations flow more freely? 💬

We just wanted to take a moment to share some beautiful saunas from around the world 🔥
We might speak different languages, enjoy diverse cuisines, and view life through our unique lenses, but sauna is a universal language that unites us all. Whether your sauna is small or spacious, traditional or contemporary, every sauna is special. And every sauna lover knows it’s the best place to unwind, recharge, and genuinely connect.
Historically, saunas have served as essential spaces for bathing, socializing, healing, and even childbirth. Today, they continue to serve as places for connection and celebration while also being valued for their incredible health and relaxation benefits.
It fills us with pride seeing HUUM heaters warming saunas globally, from our home in Estonia to Japan, from the US to Mexico, and far beyond.
Thank you for being part of our sauna-loving community! ❤️
