Who We Are

A broken ankle was the first string pulled to lead to Exotic that you see today. A female pilot, temporarily unable to fly with a cast around her ankle, decided to start this project under her house staircase—literally. The starting point was printing anything on wood, one idea pulled in the next and the next and the tiny business gradually turned into something more, something bigger. A brand. From little coasters to fully furnished bedrooms, all customizable.

She needed wood supply, and during her partnership with a wood workshop, the accountant in charge started working with her part-time while simultaneously working at the workshop, but he found himself in the wood art and decided to change jobs and be with her full-time. Said female pilot then recruited her best friend, who spent twenty-five years working in the hotel business in King Mariout, Alexandria and she became a partner in the start-up business.

Exotic kept expanding with lively spirit, going to various showrooms and grabbing people’s attention for its uniquely designed, vintage-inspired, handmade wood crafts. What differentiates Exotic from other brands is their customizable perk—anything and everything can be created as you want it and envision it.
