In Utrecht, this interior courtyard was transformed into a brighter and more versatile part of the dining experience: a space where guests could enjoy natural light and the feeling of being outdoors, while staying protected when the weather changes.

Together with , Airclos developed a bespoke solution with the T6000 retractable roof system, allowing the courtyard to adapt naturally to different moments of service.

After the fire, Club Zand had to rebuild more than walls and structure. It had to bring back a feeling: the light, the sand, the horizon and that open-air atmosphere that made the place unforgettable.

Together with , Airclos contributed to this new chapter with the T6000 retractable roof system, helping the venue recover its connection with the outdoors in a flexible space designed to adapt to the weather.

At Restaurant Laïa, the challenge was to create a space that could open, close and adapt naturally to each moment of service, without losing the character of the venue.

Together with our partner , Airclos developed an integrated operable architecture solution combining the T6000 retractable roof system with S55 aluminium bi-fold doors.

This combination allows the restaurant to move between indoor comfort and outdoor openness, adapting to weather conditions and different uses throughout the year.

A real project where premium operable architecture becomes part of hospitality design.

À Paris, le design hospitality repose sur l’atmosphère, le rythme et l’expérience.

Au Restaurant Laïa, le défi était de créer un espace capable de s’ouvrir, de se fermer et de s’adapter naturellement à chaque moment du service, sans perdre le caractère du lieu.

Avec notre partenaire , Airclos a développé une solution intégrée d’architecture opérable combinant le système de toiture rétractable T6000 avec les portes pliantes en aluminium S55.

Cette combinaison permet au restaurant de passer du confort intérieur à l’ouverture vers l’extérieur, en s’adaptant aux conditions météorologiques et aux différents usages tout au long de l’année.

Un projet réel où l’architecture opérable premium devient partie intégrante du design hospitality.

Retractable roofs designed to protect

A retractable glass roof is not only about opening a space to the light. It also needs to protect it when the weather changes.

That is why watertightness and air tightness are key in any high-performance roof system.

At Airclos, this starts with our engineering team, where each project is designed to prevent water accumulation and reduce the risk of leaks through details such as roof pitch, drainage systems, flush-mounted glass, structural silicone sealing, weather seals and brush seals.

Because true comfort is felt when the space remains protected, functional and ready to be used all year round.

BANCAL Project | Fine dining connected to its surroundings

In fine dining, the experience begins long before the first course.

It begins with the light, the atmosphere and the way the interior opens to the terrace.

At Bancal, where produce, fire and a connection to the land define the concept, the goal was clear: to strengthen the indoor-outdoor experience while preserving the restaurant’s premium atmosphere.

Together with our partner , Airclos contributed with the E20 sliding curtain, a solution that allows Bancal to keep the dining room connected to the terrace while protecting guests from changing conditions, without losing light, atmosphere or visual continuity.

Because when comfort is well designed, it becomes part of the dining experience.

How to create privacy on a terrace

Privacy is one of the main concerns when a terrace is exposed to neighbouring views.

But creating a more intimate space doesn’t mean closing it off completely.
With the right solution, a terrace can gain protection from above and from the sides while keeping natural light, comfort and a strong connection to the outdoors.

Retractable roofs, integrated awnings, customised glass, opaque panels or vertical enclosure systems can all help regulate privacy depending on the moment and the way the space is used.
