Headboard- made from European walnut with satinwood crossbanding. High gloss epoxy finish.

Ha hecho un muy buen trabajo cortando todas las chapas con mucha precisión, es la única manera...
Eliza, over here from D.C. with the family has tried over the last year to do a short course with me and has finally done it! A lovely cherry box with masur birch veneers and cuban mahogany slip linings. AND (!) a lovely cheeseboard made from iroko. And a lovely time was had by all.

Mi alumno, Ignacio, está dispuesto de probar cualquier manualidad. Después de haber hecho un curso de la talla clásica, él propuso de hacer una cama para su cuarto. Claro, con su propio diseño, como que no?! Aquí veas el cabecero con un diseño suyo . En principio, él no tenía claro que pudiera hacerlo, por ser una madera más difícil de tallar. Sin embargo, aquí lo tienes terminado. Chapó tío!!
My young student Harrison, from the USA, did a short four day course with me. We both made a little japanese style box where the cover slides down on a cushion of air. Cherry with a walnut base, and a touch of shellac to finish. A fun time !

Ignacio, mi alumno, está sentado en su primera silla. Su curso de un año intensivo, desde los primeros pasos, está enfocado en el uso de herramientas manuales. Yo quiero que se fabrica su primea caja, su primer armario con puerta y cajón, su primera silla, su primera mesa, etc, para que cuando salga de su curso, tenga experiencia y competencia

Grandfather clock case. Cherry. My client has a 200 year old mechanism which was beautifully restored and works as new. The chimes on the hour and half hour are truly lovely. I'll get another short video of these when I go back.
Client wanted a modern case to match existing furniture and yes, I would have loved the chance to have made a copy of a 19C clock case but "he who pays the piper calls the tune" , so there you are. I'll post some before and after photos of the clock face for you when I get home.
BTW, client got quite emotional when it was all put together. A lovely project for a lovely client.
