*”Seme”* (Seed) by Adriano Leverone (1953–2022). Late 1970s grès, formerly from the Nanni Valentini collection. Signed.

Leverone trained at the Institute of Ceramic Art in Faenza and worked alongside Carlo Zauli — two names that defined post-war Italian ceramics. His pieces sit in permanent collections across Japan, Switzerland, China, and Germany, and were shown at the 54th Venice Biennale (Italian Pavilion, 2011).

The seams on this piece are not Kintsugi — they are Leverone. A material philosophy born from the kiln, not from repair. Form holding fracture as design. These are objects that carry the weight of a practice, not just an aesthetic. Energy made solid and incredibly rare.
