A longstanding friend of LOBMEYR, the multidisciplinary maestro Luca Guadagnino designed their third installation for , imagining a rich, decorative universe alongside architect Andrea Bonatti.

Upholstered in Dedar moiré, Guadagnino presented a new cut glass mirror for the Viennese crystal house alongside a new curation of their archive and Guglielmo Ulrich parchment furniture from his personal collection.

Very Simple: Kitchen and QuadroDesign presented ‘Gioielleria’, an exhibition concept by Finemateria celebrating the beauty of industrial design and research.

The modular Very Simple: Kitchen system became a stage for ten selected QuadroDesign taps and components, alongside ‘Gioiello’, a collection of stainless-steel objects by FINEMATERIA, marking a new chapter in the collaboration between the two brands.

Giopato & Coombes presented ‘Scarabei’, a series of lighting sculptures interpreting the edition’s theme, Scale, as a physical and perceptual experience.

Cast in aluminium from earth moulds, each concave dome bore a unique, porous surface. Clustered into an evolving constellation, they read as a geography of volumes from afar and a tactile skin up close, with light gliding across their curves.

KADRI made its debut at MATTER and SHAPE, presenting a new collection of pure cashmere objects for the home, spun and woven by hand in Srinagar, Kashmir.

Drawing on 800 years of local craft and five generations of family know-how, blankets, ‘bouclé’ throws and cashmere carpets were revealed within a geometric installation of Indian walnut boxes and panels celebrating the ancient art of Kashmiri hand-spinning and weaving.

For MATTER and SHAPE, FRAMA transformed scent into a spatial experience, with a moving water wheel within a trestle table circulating fragrance throughout the exhibition. Drawing on FRAMA’s signature Apothecary scent, the project explored the relationship between fragrance, memory, material and space, giving the invisible a tangible form.

Payam Askari’s Hidescapes, developed by SK!N, explored new uses for leather and leather waste, transforming scraps into a unified material language. The project brought together patchwork and sculptural techniques across a folding screen, seat and luminous column, turning waste into surface, form and light.

Justine Menard presented a collection of organic forms exploring the space between past and present, land and water. Shaped through spontaneous, almost instinctive gestures, the pieces sit between sculpture and use, echoing ancient objects lifted from the seabed. Soft yet grounded, the collection reflects on time, matter and place.

For its second presentation at MATTER and SHAPE, Fassen imagined a poetic and playful space inspired by a miniature Paris, where domestic objects met the scale of the city. The presentation introduced a table and construction game to the collection, alongside new hues and textiles for the iconic Paul Poiret armchairs. It also marked Fassen’s collaboration with the Fondation Arp-Taeuber on an edition of a 1929 drawer cabinet.

Last night in Hyères, MATTER and SHAPE hosted an opening cocktail at the Pour vous gallery, welcoming delegates, designers and industry leaders to celebrate the opening of the 20th edition of Design Parade.

The cocktail took place in the context of Archéologie du quotidien, the gallery’s latest exhibition featuring 30 emerging designers from the region.

The evening marked the third year of our partnership with villa Noailles and the beginning of our first (talks) program at the Robert Mallet Stevens-designed modernist villa.

As an official partner of the festival, MATTER and SHAPE continues to support emerging talent by inviting the winner of the Design Parade Grand Prize in the Object Design category to exhibit with us in Paris in March 2027, following our support of & (2025) and simon + (2026).
