The ‘Jet Set’ - Modern Metier x Rudy Guénaire

The generous proportions of the Jet Set armchair and sofa are inspired by the curved lines of airport lounge seating, evoking a time when air travel was synonymous with luxury and the promise of new horizons.

Bringing together the sensuality of mohair velvet and the warmth of richly toned, exotic wood, the broad, Brutalist-inspired armrests extend into sculptural side tables, offering a place for a book or an aperitif.

Modular and generous in scale, the sofa creates a setting for gathering, while the armchair offers a more intimate interpretation of the same spirit.

The Jet Set collection is now available at Modern Metier.

Ligne Jet Set — Modern Metier x Rudy Guénaire

Tropic of Capricorn by Modern Metier x Rudy Guénaire

Tucked behind airy voile curtains, the sitting room of our tropical retreat invites guests to slow down. Bathed in soft, filtered light, the Jet Set sofa sets the scene for leisurely cocktails and late-summer afternoon naps, with the distant sound of waves rolling in.

Tropic of Capricorn by Modern Metier x Rudy Guénaire

Our founder Minh’s admiration for one of Rudy’s chairs was the starting point for Tropic of Capricorn. From there, each piece in the collection began as a hand-sketched silhouette, drawn from Rudy’s appreciation of modernist architecture and the sensuality of nature’s forms, then shaped by Minh’s eye for colour and feel for artisanal techniques.

Discover the collection in person at our Paris Design Week installation.

PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2026 - Tropic of Capricorn by Modern Metier x Rudy Guénaire

Modern Metier unveils its second collection, Tropic of Capricorn, created in collaboration with Parisian designer Rudy Guénaire .

Set within an installation imagined as a tropical retreat, the collection centres on seven pieces with curved lines and a modernist spirit.

In this setting, where Bossa Nova drifts through the air and the fans are whirring in the background, we invite you to join us somewhere beneath the Tropic of Capricorn.

PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2026 - Tropic of Capricorn par Modern Metier x Rudy Guénaire

- “The Jewellery Box” by .metier &

Three years ago, , founder of Modern Metier, reached out to designer Léa Zeroil for a coffee in Paris, drawn to her poetic universe and expressive eye for detail. What followed was a collaboration built on an instinct for material and craft. They’re together again in Copenhagen, and Léa brings the south with her, the warmth of Corsica and Morocco filling the room.

3daysofdesgin - “The Jewellery Box” par Modern Metier & Léa Zeroil

“Nature is my never-ending source of inspiration (…) It has shaped both my visual language and my respect for materials, forms …”. As we welcome to our selection, the Swedish designer reflects on what lies at the heart of her work: a free exploration of forms that echo Sweden’s rugged landscapes. Those of her childhood, where she spent her summers on the shores of the Baltic Sea, surrounded by a cabinetmaker father and a sea that served as a source of visual inspiration. A taste for beauty rooted in simplicity, which will soon be unveiled at 3daysofdesign within our installation “The Jewellery Box”. We invite you to discover the founder’s story through this conversation.
