This bespoke boot room cabinetry is made from painted Tulip with an Oak veneered interior to fit an alcove.
Painted single panel shaker-style doors and dark bronze hardware help to blend in the cabinetry with the surrounding architecture.
Completed as part of a wider renovation by .architects I enjoyed working on this project with the client and Architects.

This photo shows the CLIVE stools in front of the student accommodations where I salvaged the materials used to create them. Made from repurposed student bed legs that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill, I reused these beautifully curved wooden components to give them a new lease of life. This image was captured shortly before the demolition of these buildings and around 250 bedrooms.
As part of a project with University, I designed and made the CLIVE stool to breathe new life into discarded student furniture.
For those interested, a limited quantity of CLIVE stools is still available on my website. Link in bio.

An item made from reused wood can’t be mass-produced forever. That’s why each CLIVE stool is stamped on the underside with a unique number, telling a story of reuse.
CLIVE Stools are made from the wooden components of student beds rescued during a large scale university refurbishment in Oxford and transformed into new seating.

Library in pine.
Over 9 metres of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves were installed in this Oxford home. The solid pine is finished with a natural hardwax oil, protecting the wood while enhancing its texture and grain.
The effect really comes into its own on bright, sunny days.

Simple does it.
For this project, the client wanted to minimise visible metal hardware, so the sliding doors are opened and closed via machined finger holes cut directly into the maple plywood doors.
The result is clean, smooth-running wardrobe doors with a restrained, minimal appearance.

After a couple of weeks off, I’m looking forward to being back in the workshop and getting started on the first projects of 2026. With the first deadlines already looming, it’s time to get back into gear.
The photos show a 2.5 m long solid oak table that was completed and delivered late last year. Made from beautifully figured quarter-sawn oak, it features several bespoke details, including integrated power access and curved laminated components.
All my work is made to commission and tailored to each client’s vision. If there’s a particular design you like from my previous projects, feel free to ask about adapting it to suit your own requirements.

Shaped this oak table top earlier in the week. The wood came from a tree grown less than 15 miles from my client, which makes the whole piece feel that bit more connected to its place.
I love how the light catches the medullary rays in oak - those subtle patterns that show up differently depending on the angle. Such a wonderful material to work with!

These oak table dividers for The White Rabbit Oxford were a real joy to make!
The woven texture, created from thin strips of oak, makes the panels light and slightly see-through. They separate a space without shutting it off completely.
This same detail would also look striking in a bespoke piece of furniture for your home, whether built-in or free-standing. If it sparks ideas, I’d be glad to hear from you.
