How’s that for view out the living room window!

Extension I done last spring up in Crathie for Brudon joinery.
Was back this week picking and pointing a gable and chimney on an old outhouse in the garden.

Nice wee up and over finished last week for Brudon Joinery LTD
16x10 Del Carmens used on this job, nice slate to work with.

Wee porch extension slated yesterday on this listed building with a reclaimed welsh 16x8, lead ridge on this morning then finished off slating into existing roof and a tidy up.
I do like a reclaimed welsh
as much as a hashtag

Office with a view

Last weeks project to start the New Year.

Artificial coping stone was angled the wrong way, causing watermarks down the exterior wall, which was penetrating the harling and could burst when it freezes. There was visible dampness inside the front door too.

Coping removed, wall head boxed out in ply at an angle allowing any rainwater to run back into flat roof, rather than the outside wall.
Capped in lead with welted joints, leaving a more detailed and welcoming look to this properties main entrance.

If you have any queries on traditional lead flat roofs or box gutters, existing or new or any other lead work feel free to get in touch.

Here's a few photos of a completed steading conversion, Cushnie.
Just down pipes to fit once drains are in place.
All slating, lead work and guttering done on this job.

Slates used on this job were a reclaimed Welsh 14x10.
Although a reclaimed slate are usually more labour intensive for me personally I prefer then on a conversion, as it gives the building instant character and blends in real well with its surroundings.

It's days and views like this make the winter not all that bad!

Nice little job in Braemar today at Moorfeild House Hotel.
Replaced an old scabby skylight for a nice new Velux with conservation flashings in a bathroom that is currently being renewed.
