The Cane Workshop

You don't get like these from the supermarket, these are Alston Moor Gooseberries.
I put locally grown fruit in every batch of jam I make, when I run out that's it until next year.
I've got a dwindling stash of these in my 4 freezers 🥶, but not long now until I'm out picking them again with Ed the farmer.
preserves made by me with no nonsense.

What can I say but 'wow'
Cobbles Cafe thank you for the delicious food for my day course today.
They supplied all this and two 'posh' drinks each, and it's all included in my day cane course.

What a weekend!!!!
We went to to be awarded my Double Gold certificate for my Traditional Seville Orange Marmalade from the High Sheriff of Cumbria 🏆🧡🏆, and met so many lovely marmalade makers, great to put faces to the brands I follow, and who have helped me recently with that "big order" 😉
The sun shone all day and it was just a shame I couldn't be there again on Saturday representing my winning jars, as I was booked to teach to two lovely ladies.
Lovely food and coffees brought to us from Cobbles Cafe next door, and both ladies thoroughly enjoyed the day... even when the cane was misbehaving!
Time today to paint our front door and deal with the online Marmalade orders!!!!

At last after 2 years of and worrying about the wonky loo in the old shop, wobbly stairs, and nearly everything irrelevant to actually today I did my first day course with a fabulous lady who absolutely loved the day.
We had gorgeous food provided from the cafe next door Cobbles Cafe , and a really nice time chatting, weaving and sorting the world out.

Driving 40 miles to pick up my labels and gluing machine, then packing up over 250 jars of my Stokoe House 1611 Double Gold award winning Marmalade 🏆🏆🍊 for the BIG LONDON FANCY SHOP order 🥳😉
Many people have helped me along the way to sort this order out from Cumberland Mustard and their shrink wrap system, Mary Hayward and her emergency printing & label design 😘 and fellow maker Fiona Bevan who was labelling with me today 😍
Don't let me loose with the heat gun 🔫

Still can't believe it!

Happy to all the hardworking, multitasking amazing women I know.
I've started on my shop window decorations to turn it orange for the .
Yesterday was a lovely day in my workshop, I even did some ! So nice to have a break from the marmalade 🍊🍊🍊🍊
