What an amazing sight on Friday. The aurora was incredible above Keswick.

A photo I've had in my minds eye for years became a reality. Walking up to the top of Walla Crag as it became dark the main event was directly above my head with arms of colour reaching down east and west.

Sharing the summit with two other people we witnessed what so many people around the country were viewing, a kaleidoscope of colour.

As the evening progressed the green glow intensified above Skiddaw providing this once in a lifetime scene to capture.
